About 30 citizens and members of the Victoria Coalition Against Poverty greeted the Tuesday, March 2, provincial budget with a “death march” from Centennial Square to the Legislature. The event was a lead-up to a March 19 post-budget rally.

Setting a foundation for future economic growth, protecting vital services and riding the momentum created by the recent Olympic Games in Vancouver were at the forefront of the Ministry of Finance’s provincial budget media release. But many stakeholder organizations around B.C. have already released statements stating their concern with different aspects of the budget.
