Even days after viewing the cinematic masterpiece Midnight’s Children, its scenes still scroll through the mind, visions of the beauty that is portrayed in it. The colours of India are embedded in the story as it takes the viewer into the far reaches of that country, which are rarely filmed.

Even the poorest of starving students sometimes get to go out to a very fancy restaurant. It might be a birthday splurge, a graduation celebration or a really fantastic first date; whatever the reason, there’s something magical about eating at a place with linen napkins and an in-house sommelier.
I opted for a mild version of Phad Thai Goong ($13.50). I believe Phad Thai is so popular because it’s the perfect balance of sweet, salty, spicy and sour. Phad Thai solves all my cravings because it hits all four flavour notes.
