Carbon tax could be the wake up call we’ve all been waiting for. Time to give in to ‘fad,’ turn in our gas canisters and replace them with hemp cars, right? Well, if it helps you sleep at night, sure.
Competitors in the UVic Wilderness Club’s treehugging competition pose for the camera Tuesday, March 18. Students were invited to hug a tree March 18 to 19, with photographs being judged and prizes awarded today, including Cinecenta passes and Wilderness posters. The competition was part of the club’s “Big Trees Not Big Stumps” campaign.
