Pocket Knife isn’t your typical girl band. They curse, they stir shots of Clamato juice into their Molson Canadian, and they get drunk on stage. Naomi Kavka (vocals and mandolin) has Frank Zappa’s facial hair tattooed on her calf. They are the Bikini Kill of bluegrass. Pocket Knife has the pretty faces and the pretty harmonies, but more importantly, the duo has spunk.
