Cyril Indome (24) led the way with 19 points in a 75-66 victory over their conference rivals, the Alberta Bears at Mackinnon Gym on Friday, Nov. 13. Indome scored eight of his points in a decisive second quarter that saw the Vikes outscore Alberta by 18. It was Alberta’s first loss of the season. In the Saturday game, Indome again led the way with 19 points, as the Vikes finished a dominating performance against seventh-ranked Saskatchewan with a 82-54 victory. The Vikes’ traditionally unyeilding defence found its form, holding the Huskies to just 31 per cent shooting. Huskies star Showron Glover, who led the CIS in scoring last year and came into the game averaging 30 points per game, was held to just 14 points. The back-to-back wins move the Vikes to 3-3 (2-1 CanWest).
