Dean Fortin is the most secretive Mayor Victoria has ever known. 90% of the council's meetings are hidden behind closed doors (in camera) without the public knowing what's going on. They hid for more than a year the Crystal Pool and Fire Station report that said they were unsafe and badly in need of work. The Johnson Street bridge is a slow-motion disaster of mismanagement and poor choices. For example, the current delay is due to the engineering staff not even knowing where the Telus cables were in the channel, and now it is going to cost more than two million dollars to move them before they even start work. They also reduced the scope of the new bridge in secret earlier this year! Instead of a bridge to last 100 years and have a channel of 47 meters it is going to last 75 years and have a channel width of 41 meters. What else is changing? Who knows?
The sooner Victoria is rid of Dean Fortin and his coterie of lackwits the better.
