2014 Victoria Kidney 2.5K Walk/ 5K Fun Run Clover Point, 1332 Dallas Rd. Sun. August 17, 9 a.m. Join the movement to support and raise money for kidney disease research. Victoria will host its seventh Kidney Walk at Clover Point this coming Sunday. You can register as an individual, or join a team! Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 on the day of the run. Tales from an Afghan Village Seasons Above the Bay B&B, 1919 Pritchard Rd. Cowichan Bay Sun. August 24, 2–5 p.m. Join the Canadian Women for Women of Afghanistan for an afternoon in a beautiful summer garden. Fibrations St. Ann’s Academy, 835 Humboldt St. Sun. August 17, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Come experience this (free) community celebration of fibre artists through hands-on activities and vendors, showcasing spinning, weaving, crocheting and other fibre crafts.
